Macie
the
Mini Highland Cow
Macie, our beautiful white mini Highland, has quite the story. We brought her home from an auction, not knowing she was already very sick. Within hours, we weren’t sure she would make it through her first night. We stayed up with her like a newborn baby—watching, worrying, and doing everything we could to keep her going.
With a lot of love (and a very long night), Macie pulled through. We nursed her back to health, and today she’s thriving—strong, stunning, and full of personality. She’s now the matriarch of our coos, quietly in charge and always keeping everyone in line.
She’s as sweet as they come… with just a little bit of spice to remind you she’s the boss.
Toby
the
Highland Cow
Toby, our mid-size Highland with a larger-than-life personality, was the very first moo we welcomed to our farmily. He came to us as a little guy—but let’s just say… we had no idea just how big he’d end up getting!
Now, Toby is the Chief in Charge. If Toby does it, the rest of the herd follows—no questions asked. He’s the official “tester” of all things new, making sure everything meets his standards before the others join in.
He’s also our top-tier snack connoisseur. Carrots? Yes. Animal crackers? Absolutely. Oatmeal cream pies? Don’t even think about opening one without him knowing.
And the best part—Toby was our very first trick-trained moo. Ask him if he wants a treat, and you’ll get an enthusiastic, big ol’ head-bobbing “YES” every single time.
Annie
the
Highbelt Cow
Annie, our lovable Highland Belted Galloway mix, has one of the sweetest souls on the farm. She came to us as another auction baby in need of extra care, and like Macie, she had a rough start. As a bottle baby, we spent countless hours feeding and nurturing her—and in return, she bonded with us in the most special way. To Annie, we weren’t just caretakers… we were her family.
She grew up full of love and trust, even learning how to give hugs along the way. While she may be a little too big for that now, she still carries that same gentle, affectionate spirit—and honestly, she looks just like a big ol’ teddy bear.
Annie is as sweet as pie, through and through, and she’ll always be one of the most tender-hearted members of our moo crew.
Penny
the
Mini Highpark Cow
Penny, our sweet little princess of the coo crew, carries herself with a quiet grace that’s impossible to miss. She’s not one to rush into anything—she prefers to stand back, observe, and carefully analyze the situation before deciding if it’s worth her time.
Even though she’s one of the youngest in the herd, Penny has the soul of a grandma. She patiently lets everyone else go first—first to snacks, first to attention—watching it all unfold like a proud little matriarch. There’s something so gentle and selfless about her that makes everyone around her feel at ease.
A beautiful Highland British White Park blend of perfection, Penny has a calm, comforting presence that you can feel the moment you’re near her. She and her half-brother Murphy share that same special sweetness—but Penny will always be our observant, loving little “grandma” in disguise.
Murphy
the
Mini Highpark Cow
Murphy may be the smallest of the coo crew, but he’s full of personality in the sweetest, most charming way. With his soft eyes and gentle presence, he has a quiet way of communicating that’s impossible to miss. Just ask him if he wants a treat, and you’ll get a big ol’ head nod “yes” every single time.
A Highland British White Park mix and Penny’s half brother, Murphy shares that same calm, loving nature—but with his own little spark of curiosity. He absolutely adores attention and will soak up every bit of it, especially when it comes to brushing. Stand near him long enough, and he’ll make sure you don’t forget he’s there for his turn.
Small but mighty, Murphy is affectionate, observant, and quietly confident. He may be one of the littlest, but he’s got a big heart—and a permanent spot as one of the most lovable members of the moo crew.
Moowan MooGregor
the
Farm Mooscot
Moowan MooGregor, the official Farm Mooscot and part-time celebrity of Dogwood Acres.
Moowan is known for making surprise appearances—you truly never know when he might show up, but when he does, it’s guaranteed to be a good time. Whether he’s crashing a party, wandering into an event, or sneaking into photos, Moowan lives for the spotlight (and honestly assumes it belongs to him).
A seasoned professional in the art of fun, Moowan excels at winning costume contests, busting out some questionable dance moves, and making people laugh wherever he goes. His energy is unmatched, his moves are… memorable, and his presence is impossible to ignore.
If you see Moowan MooGregor, just know—you’re about to have a mooo-velous time.

Road Runner
the
Farm Alarm Clock
Meet Road Runner, one of our auction rescues who found his forever home here at the farm. As one of our two roosters, he proudly runs his half of the flock—keeping his hens in line and always on schedule.
He’s also the louder of our two “alarm clocks,” making sure everyone (whether they asked for it or not) knows exactly when it’s time to start the day… and sometimes he decides it’s time to start the day in the middle of the night too!
Residents
of
The Chick Inn
Our hens are the heart of the farm—always busy, always curious, and never far from a snack. They spend their days scratching, exploring, and keeping things lively around here. Whether they’re following us around hoping for treats or minding their own business (until snacks are involved, of course), they each bring their own little personality to the flock.
While the roosters may think they’re in charge, we all know the hens are the real bosses. From fresh eggs to endless entertainment, they keep the farm running and full of life every single day.
Scout
the
Chief of Security
Meet Scout, our livestock guardian dog… or at least, that’s what he believes 😄🐾
Scout takes his job very seriously—always watching over the farm and keeping a close eye on his animals. In his mind, he’s the fearless protector of the entire crew. In reality, he’s more of a gentle giant with a heart as big as he is.
He’s calm, sweet, and incredibly loyal, preferring cuddles and companionship just as much as “guard duty.” While he may not be the toughest protector out there, Scout brings a sense of comfort and quiet presence to the farm that everyone—two-legged and four-legged alike—appreciates.
Hunter & Nugget
Meet Hunter & Nugget, two of our eight barn cats and proud members of the farm’s finest. True to their names, they’re quite the “hunters”—always on the job and keeping a watchful eye around the barn for a little "nugget" of food. But don’t let their skills fool you… they also hold the very important title of Chief Cuddle Officers.
Banjo, Snickers, and Pumpkin are the proud parents of our barn cats and the heart of this sweet little crew.
Every one of our barn cats is incredibly loving and always ready for attention—if you’re nearby, expect a visit (and probably a request for pets).
And be on the lookout for Lucy, Chloe, and Oreo—they’re sure to steal your heart… or at least a few hugs along the way.
Lionhead Rabbits
Meet our Lionhead Rabbits—little bundles of fluff with big personalities 🐰💛
With their signature manes and irresistibly soft coats, these cuties are full of fluff and always ready for attention. They love gentle pets, quiet cuddles, and being the center of your world (as they should be).
We currently have a few looking for new homes, so be sure to ask which ones are available. Not quite ready to commit? We also offer a “trial” program, giving you the chance to see if one of these fluffy friends is the perfect fit for your family.
The Goat-ee-yo's
Meet our goat crew—a mix of fainting goats and Nubians, each one packed with personality and always up to something 🐐😄
These curious characters are equal parts entertaining and mischievous. Whether they’re bouncing around, striking a dramatic fainting pose, or following you in hopes of a snack, there’s never a dull moment when goats are involved.
And fair warning… they will literally try to eat anything. Feed, treats, your sleeve, your shoelace—if it exists, it’s probably been taste-tested.
But behind all the antics, they’re friendly, playful, and full of charm—guaranteed to make you laugh and maybe keep you on your toes just a little.
